| HIVE has two gallery spaces and which are used for the display of contemporary visual art and an artist in residence work area which will allow artists to create work on site. The main gallery
is dedicated to showing the best in regional, national and international contemporary art. Gallery B is available to hire on
a 2 - 8 week basis.
HIVE accepts submissions on an ongoing basis for the gallery* spaces and the artist in residence space (* the main gallery is usually by invitation). All submissions must be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Submissions should include the following: a brief artist’s statement, a current CV, either a slide sheet of 15 to 20 slides, 15 to 20 digital images on CD, or video documentation if appropriate. Please do not send original works of art. All slides or digital images must be numbered and identified with an accompanying list indicating title, date, medium and support, and dimensions. Other helpful information, such as press clippings, exhibition catalogues, etc., should be included.
Artists and curators working in any media or discipline are eligible to apply.
HIVE will make every effort to acknowledge all submissions by email within 7 days of delivery. Curatorial meetings are only held once year, in March. It is therefore recommended you submit proposals for March 2010. All proposals should be sent to Patrick Murphy (patrick@hivegallery.co.uk)
